Fantasmas en la Lluvia (2023)
A four part ambient sound series that focuses on perspective-changing encounters in the rain. Each song evokes a moment in time, bathed in the constant murmur of rain, and hints at the spirits, ghosts, and thoughts that dwell in the curtains that fall from the sky.

The motion drawings are based on Mayan glyphs and symbology. The movement and growth of the trees and the return of fallen trees to the earth is illustrated in this image, imaginging the spirits and energies that move through the forest to which we oftentimes are blind. The magic of plants to capture carbon from the air and water from the ground and build their own structure individually, which forms an entire ecosystem when brought together. The work that is done everyday to continue to meld these molecules together and provide the planet with breathable air, material with which to build, and a refuge in the trees for both other creatures and humans, is slow and enduring.

The desert, usually deprived of rain, is quiet yet active, and can be both intensely hot and cold all in one day. It may seem barren but is baptized by intense storms and downpours, providing some respite to the life that again works day and night to survive.

One of the simplest molecules that provides every living thing on this spaceship earth with a chance to move, grow, think, and live.
